Hey Dale (and class), are you going to be in Berkeley today or tomorrow to accept anything that cannot be attached via email? If not, could I possibly send you a picture and then mail the final project to you? What works for you?

Let me paint you a picture. I am at my desk in my office at home, surrounded on three sides by a wall of books. Sarah is annoyed that I won't let her up on my lap, since she wants to use me as a launching pad to scatter student papers from. She thinks paperclips are bugs she must vanquish. I've got my grading music on -- Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cocteau Twins, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Stravinsky, Joni Mitchell -- the spin cycle of the washing machine is rattling cheerfully behind that at the moment -- I've got a pot of coffee with a trail of steam like a tornado writhing off it -- every time I get a new e-mail there's a chime and about a quarter of the time when I go to look it's a new final paper from SFAI or from you guys. Lieberman is betraying the Dems again and Copenhagen is in disarray in the background. I'm in the weeds and it feels like I'm here for the duration. Send papers to me as attachments so I can get right at them, and I can appreciate the physical instantiations when the craziness subsides later on. Hope all is well in everybody's world.
